Equality & diversity
Overview
The Equality Act 2010 legally protects people from discrimination, not just in the workplace but in wider society. It replaced previous anti-discrimination laws with a single Act, making the law easier to understand and strengthening protection in some situations. It sets out the different ways in which it’s unlawful to treat someone.
WorkRite’s Equality & Diversity e-learning course will inform your staff, they will find out more about who is protected from discrimination and the types of discrimination covered. It is vital that your staff have an understanding of what equality means and how they should interact with colleagues, customers or members of the public.
